Introduction
EDUCTRAK is a web site with
a purpose and a point of view on a variety of topics related to the general
topic of education and, more specifically, educational deficiency.
With the nation in hot pursuit
of excellence there is a danger that the approximately 25 to 30% of the
school population having serious deficiencies in the areas of reading,
comprehension, oral and written expression, computation, and personal
motivation will be treated to a regimen of exhortation and expensive jerry-built
remedial programs whose promises for success are not likely to be fulfilled.
